My husband was sent to Dr. David Barnett at Baylor Hospital in Dallas for a coiling procedure to close off the fistula that was continuing to bleed. For a week he was placed on bed rest to allow the hemorrhage to be absorbed in the brain tissue. The coiling material was used to close off the abnormal connections between his arteries and veins in the vision area of his brain that fed the bleed. A small insertion would be made.
