Right Leg stents
James had two stents implanted in his left leg on December 30 and came home today. Dr. Ali, the cardiologist, said he wanted to see James this Thursday to discuss surgery to repair the left leg which has hard calcium deposits. He has already had surgery behind the knee, and groin. When James had open heart surgery 17 years ago they stripped the veins from both legs from groin to ankle to repair his heart. Last year he had a y shaped stent put in his groins and abdomen due to aneurysms but the pulses in both feet were faint,caused edema, and poor circulation which caused Jim to fall several times, On the 17th he goes back to the VA to check on his Thoracic aneurysm. He walked to and from the car without any problems and feels good.

ReplyDeleteJames had chest pain and took 4 nitro pills so I took him to Doctors Hospital. The emergency doctor compared two EKG scans and said that the peeks were showing tombstone peeks and he would have to start Jim on a blood thinner and set him up with Dr. Ali for another Left Heart cauterization. Doctor Ali performed the following procedures:
1 Left heart catheterization
2 Left and right coronary angiography
3 Left ventriculography
4 Ascending aortography
5 Vein graft injection to right coronary artery
6 Vein graph injection to left anterior descending
7 Left internal mammary artery injection
8 Right iliac angiography
James was given a room with two beds so that I could spend the night and help with the urinal.
Jan 1 2012...Wow bringing in the new year by candle light...how romantic. Michael and Michelle went to watch the movie New Years Eve. James and I got under the electric blanket and tried to make up for the restless night at the hospital. We slept so soundly we didn't hear the girls come home and toasted under the blanket for 2012 with loud zzzzs. I have to go to work tomorrow and tonight I broke Mica's car, It won't start so Buster gets a ride home in the Mustang after work, instead of the PT Cruiser like planned. It stalled at the Awful House. We left it there and headed home to eat Black-eyed Peas and Pork and Sauerkraut...it might not help...but it couldn't hurt . We need better luck this year instead of the same old crap.
