Brain Seizures
Buster and Beo were out on the front walkway just outside Jim's window downstairs. I was upstairs in the "Mother-In-Laws room" over the garage watching America Idol when I heard them barking. Damn why wasn't James letting them in? I rushed impatiently downstairs to let them inside and they ran into the master bathrooom. James was stretched out on the floor with a pack of toilet paper under his head. He said he slid to the floor when he tried to stand while sitting on the commode. "Help me up" he said. I couldn't lift him and he was unable to assist with his left side. I suspected a stroke so I called 911. When the paramedics assisted him to his feet he was still unable to stand but was breathing normally. I followed them to the emergency room watching him through the window talking and laughing. But when I was allowed back to his room he had a breathing tube in place. I was told he had a seizure which caused problems breathing on the way into the emergency room. I immediately worried that he was back to square one with a stoke again but the test showed no new bleed and no weakness remained.
